The opening evening will feature a performance by Jonuz, conceived specifically for the occasion of the exhibition. Drawing on her transition to the new city, her favorite childhood toy, and past events reimagined as zeitgeist poems, the performance will be accompanied by live music. Sifkovits’s paper works function as a second skin, both covering and revealing the window façade. They engage in dialogue not only with the audience inside the exhibition but also with passersby on the street, opening questions about habitual ways of seeing, about visual order, attention, and the phenomenology of perception. In a subsequent event, Stoney will present a reading from her ongoing writing of a play. Through a mapping, part conspiracy board, part research diagram—she traces connections between the history of metric systems and developments in art history, reflecting on the fictional artist’s constructed position within them. ALL FLASH AND FICTION is accompanied by a curatorial letter written as a fictional short story, based on the works on display and private conversations with the artist.
