Burggasse 98 invites to the first round of their new format “B-98 Editionen”.
In collaboration with artists and designers, we are releasing limited edition art and design pieces.

Rupert Zallmann and designer Anton Defant started a series of experimental collaborations after a workshop held by Zallmann’s architectural firm “Madame” at the Austrian University of Applied Arts, die Angewandte.

Investigating the properties of liquid pouring materials such as concrete and plaster, the duo is playing with scale by blurring the line between functional object, sculpture and architectural references.

The objects showcase the materials in their solid state but capture the aesthetics of their previous liquid consistency, informing the user of the production technique through the texture of the moulding material.

In this edition the designers present a series of floorlamps that merge smart serial manufacturing and high quality aesthetics.
