Crooked Timber

Strained purple and grey colors press the sky together as I am walking alone on a wet stoned path, the air is thick and humid. As nighttime approaches, there is a hope for a fresh breeze. It does not come, despite the deep longing for it. Wind blows very rarely here, desperate to clear up the clusters of physical thought substance, accumulated in this realm where movement is minimal. Wilting yellow bushes fill the sides of the road, and the path is accompanied by high dim lamps. “Who did this?”, I hesitate, but keep on going. Like everyday, I am on my way to a mask party only a few seconds after waking …
