Artist-in-Residence: Eiko Gröschl

We’re excited to announce EIKO GRÖSCHL is currently artist-in-residence at Charim Factory, working on large-scale paintings until late July.

Eiko Gröschl (*1992 Graz, Austria), studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna in the class of Erwin Bohatsch. He lives and works in Vienna.

Atmosphere is an essential element in the work of Eiko Gröschl, the time of day, the weather, the seasons. But also, the psychological and emotional aspects of such, the ephemeral feelings associated with early mornings, moonlit nights, reverie. Such aspects are generated by an intense working with his essential materials - paint thinned to the point of staining and altering the canvas, gaussian layers also altered with elements of thick impasto. Material experiments that slowly accrue to an image as much veiled as revealed.

In 2026 Charim will produce his first publication.
