Karolina Bregula: The effect of art

The lecture will consist as well of screening of works as Fire Followers (48 min) and of numerous other works by the artist. Organized by the studio of Conceptual Art.
Karolina Breguła (born 1979), Polish multimedia artist; creates installations, happenings, video, photography. She has graduated from the National Film Television and Theatre School in Łódź where she now has been working on her PhD. She has performed and exhibited internationally at such venues as places as Zachęta National Gallery in Warsaw, National Museum in Warsaw, Jewish Museum in New York or at the 55th Venice Biennale (Italy). She is the author of works such as Fire-Followers (2013), Art Translationg Agency (2010) or Let Them See Us (2003). She has received numerous awards including the Polish Ministry of Culture Scholarship, Młoda Polska Scholarship, the View art prize or Samsung Art Master prize. She lives and works in Warsaw.
