Referring to postcolonial theory and cultural studies, particularly texts by Stuart Hall, Alicia Soller and bell hooks, Nitin Bharosa analyzes the effects of colonialism on the psyche and the mind. Subsequently he shows how the unconditional acceptance of one’s identity can be a tool to unlearn internalized racism in order to regain confidence and reclaim agency.
