UMETNIK*: Footnotes 2012 – 2017

For its 5th anniversary, the Belgrade founded and Vienna based informal group UMETNIK* edited a publication incorporating documentation material and texts by invited art historians / curators / theoreticians. Appropriating the method used in the name Kosovo(*), the group deals with the issue of STATUS, shifting the focus from a linguistic to the socio-econo- mic aspects. Starting from the institutional theory, respectively the problems within the tradition of analytic aesthetics, the works are dealing with criticism of institutions, hierarchies and precarity.
