This event is hosted by the department of Social Design at the Angewandte in collaboration with Frida Robles.

Can we think of a readable device, an impossible manual; approaching a particular site as an architect would do if they had no real material restrictions. An illusionary edifice as an exploration of the possibilities and flexibility of time-space in a restricted location, narrative- actions in-situ. Projected pyramids, monumental snakes, wandering hearts. The performativity of urban space is enacted by its architectural elements, with each edifice a reiteration is materialized. Performativity is the recurrence of acts, the repetitions of formulas, actions, words, structures. Ancient incantations and spells focused on the rhythmic repetitions of sounds or actions in order to activate a magic order of things. Can we exercise physical space as a means for speculative [historical] fiction?
