WHAT SHOULD ART SPEAK ABOUT?

We work together as h.arta group since 2001, when we founded h.arta space, a not-for-profit space in Timisoara, Rumania. On the one hand we organized exhibitions, meetings, debates, workshops in h.arta space and on the other hand we are developing projects outside the gallery, projects that most often involve the participation of other artists, projects that suppose dialogue and criticism-oriented attitude.

The presentation “What should art speak about” focuses mainly on the project About art and the ways we look at the world, that is a model for a
schoolbook that instead of just presenting formal aspects of art, prepares kids to become adults that are aware of the political aspects of their
lives, presenting it in the framework of our entire practice, in relation to other projects that we have made, projects talking about the experience of working together and about finding the energy and the ways to make things
possible.
