Office Ukraine Get Together

The year 2022 is drawing to a close. For many of us, it has been a year of change. Hardly a year ago, any of us would have thought that a war would break out in Ukraine and we would have to hold our breath in horror as we flipped through the news reports. And then to think about how and what we can do to help people fleeing the bombs.

We at Office Ukraine didn’t know each other until a year ago, we didn’t know many of you, and we couldn’t imagine working together and seeking your support.

But since March, we have been answering the letters of Ukrainian artists fleeing the war every day, writing to you and asking about available square meters of apartments, spots in galleries and festivals, job offers, free tickets to concerts, brushes and paints that we could give to artists… We may have already bored you with our endless requests. But thanks to your support, hundreds of Ukrainian cultural workers have received support in one form or another.

Many people in Austria have seen works of Ukrainian artists for the first time and visited concerts of musicians, theatrical performances and films, and readings of texts by writers and poets.

We are waiting for the war to end, along with Ukrainians. We hope that very soon they will not need our and your help.

But for now, for the last time this year, we thank you for all your care and invite you to our last Get Together on December 19, where there will be punch, conversations, meetings, and priceless time together.
