French artist JR presents his movie “Women are Heroes”, a documentary giving insight into the lives of women in Brazil, Kenya and Cambodia, who are heroically fighting their daily battle against sexual repression, poverty and injustice. Heroes in a very real sense, who are not only filmed by the artist JR, but also photographed for the purpose of posting these glowing, larger-than-life portraits on buildings and walls in their close vicinity to call attention to their lives.
