IoA-Sliver Lecture Carme Pinós

After reaching professional recognition together with Enric Miralles with projects such as the Cemetery of Igualada (First Prize in the European Biennale of Architecture in Milan 1991), she established her own practice in 1991 transferring the supervision and construction of several projects initiated in her previous office like the Boarding-school in Morella (National Architecture Prize by the Spanish Council of Architects, 1995).
Since 2008 she is a Board member of the Spanish National Museum of Architecture and Urban Space and since October 2009 member of the Academic Council of the Master and Phd School of Architecture at the UPC. She has combined her career as an architect with teaching, participating in seminars,courses and workshops.
In 2008 she received the National Prize of Architecture and Urban Space by the Catalan Government for her professional work.
