artyfucked - the walls can speak Event

Thomas ´Keramik´ Mock is one of Vienna’s best known graffiti artists. His needs for the enrichment of the surroundings with his own ideas and associations are expressed in the art of Thomas Mock in a diversity of graffiti and paintings on walls, wood or canvas.

In his exhibition “artyfucked - the walls can speak” he humorously presents his very personal interpretation of the street and graffiti art scene of Vienna. A persiflage worth to see!

In course of this exhibition Zeitvertrieb is publishing an artyfucked special issue. But not only this - also the new issue of artyfucked is going to be released. A new artyfucked presenting Berlin and Brussels “city graffity”, sketches and papercuts of various artists!

The artist known as Keramik in Vienna since the early 1990s has chosen his name because of a desire to mark his own position as a short-lived individual in the history of the world with a remaining characteristic form - sometimes a couple of broken fragments of ceramics are part of the few remains that are left to us from a past culture. The painter, graphic designer and executive of workshops is one of the best known freelance graffiti artists working on commission in Vienna. As a skilled architect the artist possesses a fine sense for spatial situations, remarkable structures and optical or illusionist tricks of representation. In the visual overload of the surfaces with as much different figures and forms as possible he creates little, individual microcosms, which reflect the richness and variety of the universe itself, where death and ugliness represent a necessary part of the beauty of every complete fabric.
