The duo with Olga Nosova (drummer mostly known for her work with avantgardish noise-punk band Motherfathers) is one of the latest project of electronics veteran Alexei Borisov, and noticeably very fast-developing - their mind-boggling and abstract (though surprisingly groovy) music is already highly acclaimed among the music lovers not only in Russia, but around the world! The collaborative project was formed in April 2009 in Moscow.

Paying homage to both experimental tradition of Alexei’s countless musical reincarnations and Olga’s instrumental noise experience, the duo embrace elements of weird free-form spoken word psychedelia, live electronics, noise, heavy acid, electroacoustic, dub and far too many different types of acoustic torture to even bother mentioning all of them! The music is highly improvised, so naturally Borisov / Nosova is collaborating with various musicians, video-artists and poets from different countries both in live situations and in studio environment: Anton Nikkila (Finland), Dave Phillips (Switzerland), Matthieu Werchowski (France), Dora Bleu (Canada), Thomas Buckner (USA), Tom Smith (USA), Ilya Belorukov (Russia), Sergei Letov (Russia), Nikita Tsymbal (Russia) to name just a few. Borisov / Nosova band is touring extensively and in 2009-2010 performed in Russia, Turkey, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Poland, Germany etc. (text by Lev Kantor, top-40.org)

In March 2010 the duo will be on a short European tour, performing in Ljubljana (20), Vienna (23), Amsterdam (26) and Paris (27). The concert in Vienna also features real time video projections by Lena Efimova.

After many years of enjoying sillyness we decided to change our bandname to skylla, the title of our debut album on Editions Mego (http:/www.editionsmego.com/). We make music with computer and all kind of electronic tools, including turntables, sampler and sometimes guitar. Our home-base is the rhiz in Vienna/Austria, our virtual homebase is the spaceship klingt.org. We started as the DJ-duo ako&gnu 2001 at rhiz. In 2003 we played our first live gig as the duo silly. We recorded our first CD in June 2007 at ‘Atelier auf der Fleetinsel’ in Hamburg/Germany.
