The first ever collaboration between flip*flop and Kostas Murkudis comes to life for Spring /
Summer 2010.

The designers Kostas Murkudis and Anne-Katrin Hummel (flip*flop) developed the unique and
innovative shoe collection for women and men for the new ‘flip*flopMURKUDIS’ line. Both German brands have their creative offices in Berlin and are represented internationally.

Zeitgeit meets Avant-Garde - From diverse influences, but still connected by the architectural references of both designers, comes a independent and special shoe collection that reaches new heights while remaining light and flexible.

Degradé - The shoe collection is composed of different models in three different colour
degrades. The degradé concept can be seen in the colour composition of the shoes and soles, as seen in the heel infrastructure which is available in varying heights.

Layering - Inspired by the idea “technology meets nature”, EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) and
leather are stacked to create different formed soles and platform heels of different heights. This modern technique is combined with an upper that is very urban in its form, colour and texture.

The styles will be launched during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin 1st-4th of July 2009.

The collection will first be presented in Vienna at Song, 26th February, 2010, from 18 - 21h.
