Gu?lsu?n Karamustafa will speak about her recent works. The prominent motives of her work so far have been issues around migration, geographic mobility and their cultural consequences like urbanisation, and hybridisation. A secondary motive, which has been occasionally recurring, has been memory. Recently, she has approached the theatrical and cinematographic modes of presentation and yet, retained a sense of social grounding for these new pieces. She works primarily in video and installation medium. She lives and works in Istanbul.
