Daniele Buetti - Hey! Mom! Mom!

The Daniele Buetti exhibition ,,Hey! Mom! Mom!” will transform the basement floor of hilger contemporary - a sterile White Cube -into a street art scene. Thus evoking the atmosphere of an Off-Space in Berlin or of the Meatpacking district in New York, and not that of a typical Viennese Gallery space. Buetti’s lightboxes - perforated photographs of female models - will be shown on the groundfloor of hilger contemporary.

The opposition of consumable commodity and self-determined character, realized by Buetti - partly also formally - in an illusive kitschy way, often refers radically to the absurdity of the pursuit of youth and prestige.

The titles of the pieces (,Is not all a matter of taste?’) confront the viewer with existential questions.
