Ausstellung: Pellets Jiri Sibor Event

“Pellets” Jirí Šibor (CZ)

Pellets - small, spherical balls, being perfect geometrical shape, are connected to each other. The formations are reminiscent of various berries, natural coral, or even DNA structure.
The wearable objects are created by chemically bonding a cluster of these even-sized pellets and are finished to be used as a bracelet, earrings, a brooch, a ring, a necklace….. the finished surface is organic and therefore becomes tactile, the imperfect formations evoke baroque style.
Some of the objects have a “sliced” effect in one or more parts. The surface in this case is rendered flat. Various colours and shades are thus exposed contrasting the original “chaos” principle of the design.
The process of actual production is inspired by embracing the ever-changing shape of each individual unit - the original sketch serving only as a guide. The same principle is used for application of colour and when finishing each layer. J. Šibor, 2006
