Ranging widely among composition, improvisation, and performance: exploring acoustic and electro-acoustic sounds as means of mutual expression: augmenting traditional acoustic sounds of cello and guitar with electronic manipulations within searching, experimental structures.

*** Portrait of the artist as a young pig // Johanna Lettmayer [Lecture performance]

She is suspicious of artists’ tales about their development when they reach too far back into their early teenage years or childhood. She thinks of it as a strategy to manifest the identity of the Real Artist. This suspicion is not free of envy for clear identifications, and therefor is directed also towards herself.

She just cannot remember anything that could identify herself as an artist.

The pig returns as a figure for contradictory (dis)identification and challenges expectations towards artists and their studios, audiences and institutions.

*** DOWM und Gitarrensolo // Stefan Tiefengraber [Concert]

Drei Walkman, drei Effektpedale, zwei Mischpulte, ein Minisynthesizer, eine Gitarre, Mikrophone und mehrere Feedbackschleifen erzeugen eine Noise-Landschaft, die in Stille und Leere endet. Tiefengraber greift bei diesem Projekt auf seine künstlerische Arbeitsweise zurück, die er nicht nur in Performances sondern auch in seinen installativen Projekten umsetzt. Er erweitert die vordefinierten Funktionen der verwendeten Geräte durch das Experimentieren mit diesen und verwendet unkonventionelle Anwendungen, so erzielt er neue und unvorhergesehene Ergebnisse.
