Vienna Art Week Kickoff Event

Hey folks, @viennaartweek is around the corner and we have prepared a special kickoff event to welcome this year’s Artist-in-Residence Li Xinmo with two one of a kind concerts by @jimmywhispersxo & @sakura_katsuura .

Our kickoff will be Jimmy’s European tour finale. The chicago-born, Los Angeles-based musician and filmmaker is playing his 27th tour concert after more than 4 weeks on tour here in Vienna. Thats why it’s damn important that we carry him through the evening with our applause! We asked Jimmy for his favorite artist from Vienna that he would like to share the stage with and without hesitation he named Sakura! Sakura’s songs have made it to LA and the rest of the world! She’s Vienna’s hot take when it comes to dreamy bedroom sounds. Her self-produced latest-work 9-tracker „Skin“ shows how vibrant pop can be! ‘skin’ is the liberation of vulnerability, the invincible euphoria of love, the bitterness of heartbreak and a fragile hope for new beginnings.
What is also very cool: Superbude and VIENNA ART WEEK have a common Artist-in-Residence this year.

Li Xinmo from China is the artist, that VIENNA ART WEEK invited to stay at Superbude for 3 weeks. Li Xinmo will not only be represented in this year’s exhibition, but also be a part of the Open Studio Days and can be visited at her studio in Superbude on November 11th and 12th from 1 – 6 pm.
We are happy if you come by and meet the artists in an intimate atmosphere.
