“- We woke up at 5:00 to the sounds of explosions…”
This is how the stories of February 24 begin for the majority of the Ukrainians.
This moment, our lives have changed forever.
We thought we were leaving for 2 weeks.
It’s been 9 months already.
We don’t know how long it will take, who will return home, who will remain alive, and what the price will be for our right to be free.
We were not going to be refugees, volunteers, soldiers or paramedics.
We were doing art, arranged concerts and strikes, drank coffee in cozy cafes of cities which we love and want to return to.
We did not choose this war, but we must win it.
We created this theater performance to share experiences and thoughts. To tell you the stories, our and our friends’, who are risking their lives right now to protect things we love.
Because we believe that by meeting in the field of open dialogue, we let these new experiences lead us to the unknown destination and mutually expand our awareness of issues of war and security.

Documentary performance based on interviews with Ukrainian volunteers, military personnel, cultural figures, as well as personal stories of actors and actresses.
The performance is accompanied by live music.
