We are pleased to announce that Axel Koschier’s self-titled artist book (Wien: Mark Pezinger Verlag 2022) won the national award for Die schönsten Bücher Österreichs 2022, International competition of Stiftung Buchkunst.

Axel Koschier defies the traditional conventions of artist monographs with his thought-provoking creation—a speculative catalogue that seamlessly blends imagination and interpretation into the very fabric of an artist’s life story.

Throughout his artistic journey, Axel Koschier has devoted years to amassing an extraordinary collection of questionnaires and fill-in forms employed by companies to glean insights into their clientele. While still in use, the questionnaires and fill-in forms gathered by Axel Koschier carry a touch of nostalgia, resembling remnants of a pre-digital era.
