MOTHERBOARD ARTSPACE is excited to present the interactive exhibition and retreat, THE SANCTUARY. The exhibition showcases sculptural and interactive Sanctuaries created by five female artists - Sanna Gossy, Judit Kis, Julia Riederer, Sarah Sternat, and Stephanie Winter - who have each created unique and powerful tents and shelters that delve into the themes of asylum, care, healing, and explore new potentials. THE SANCTUARY is not only a physical space but also a conceptual space that encourages the exploration of diverse perspectives and strategies for healing and care. The five sculptural and interactive Sanctuaries are activated with specific performative and interactive rituals by the artists, inviting visitors to surrender to their guidance. The exhibition explores themes ranging from the healing of the idealized self and the exploration of inner landscapes, smells, and memories, to humorous rituals of liberation from self-optimization, self-love, and the awakening of different potentials, including impact activism.
