Jack Smith had never finished his films, except for one. This talk will discuss his work theoretically and show that there is a certain programmatic – others may say, neurotic – consistency at the heart of his queer anarchism.

Diedrich Diederichsen is Professor for Theory, Practice and Mediation of Contemporary Art at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. His numerous publications include Politische Korrekturen (1996), Über Pop-Musik (2014) and Körpertreffer. Zur Ästhetik der nachpopulären Künste (2017).
