The Intervention Contemporary Mural Mosaic is a project of contemporary women Artists from different nations who share their works in a collective intervention in which they weave a multidisciplinary artistic work with different techniques and materials, and which generates a visual poem from the creativity and individual research of each artist. The result of this experience is deep reflection on the creation of spaces and works from the diversity of action methods, as well as the product of the collectivity. This Mosaic presents the possibility of achieving a dialogue in the midst of differences, as well as bringing a little hope to the wounded and violent world in which we have coincided.
The Intervention Contemporary Mural Mosaic is the model to heal wounds and learn to know the deepest aspects of the soul and psyche that have set us apart as humanity, because although changes like tissues are personal, it is the collectivity that transcends. This mosaic of art is a transmitter of knowledge of the past and the present that sincerely shows us the restlessness, the desires, the changes and the growth of diverse women, who struggle in different ways, in the light of old patterns of female life, knitting. This common knit is the shared life of each of these Artists, who together as diverse as all women, drive us to seek sustainable development, access to rights, equity and a social environment free of discrimination and violence.

We talk about women and worsted fabrics because historically we have been forced to fulfill roles that we do not always want to perform, and that over the years has shown that we were violated, castrated, sullied, weakened and eliminated, not only at the bonfires, but intimately, spiritually and emotionally. Despite this, women ourselves have reversed the spell that erased us from the history books and spaces of power. Today women build our own history, also collaborating with the cohesion of the social links so broken throughout the different continents. The configuration of social and institutional ties in schools, governments, companies and the daily life of all people, has been divided through violence. Peace and integrity of women and men, minors and older adults have been violated, so it is difficult to find spaces for community coexistence in which there can be respect and equity among all people. Common growth projects, sports events, communication agreements between neighbors, citizen participation in political decisions, are examples of actions that can contribute to education for peace. Painting, sculpture, performing arts, music, and literature are some artistic disciplines that, at the same time delicately but also forcefully, can contribute to the awareness that every society requires, by penetrating and going through the body of those who are exposed to it, to influence that in our societies, violence-free spaces are conquered where any person, without exception, can enjoy all their rights in a dignified and free manner.
To start weaving you need yarn, a hook suitable for its thickness, and scissors. That the material has no decorations, and that it is a neutral color, is a suggestion for beginners, but with experience and creativity, the weaver can dare to mix and create. When starting a workshop to learn weaving techniques, different possibilities of holding the hook with the hand are indicated, but the main tip is that the posture of the hand is not forced and that the person who will be weaving feels good with it. To achieve a fabric, no matter how complex or large it may seem, small chains and simple unions are necessary and they will gradually join one another with the same or another type of yarn in order to multiply the creation and through the connection, have the finished product. The bag with hooks and colored yarn for knitting used to be identified to women, and in most cases, to older women, who not only for pleasure but also for necessity, made clothing or accessories for their home. However, times have changed. Pink color is not exclusive to girls, the new masculinities are considered a topic of integral formation of women and men, public spaces and in men’s bathrooms, places are identified for them to change diapers, and while this happens, although not so easily and without opposition, women begin to take over economic, political and social decision-making for the good of societies.
