within the framework of the exhibition in the kitchen. Visions of Media Art 10, a cooperation between Medienwerkstatt Wien, FLUSS - NÖ.Initiative für Foto- und Medienkunst and the Department of DIGITAL ARTS / Ruth Schnell in the context of Vienna Art Week.
This performance is the 1st Real Life/physically present demonstration of an artistic LUDIC RESEARCH method, developed online, with internationally connected players in a self-designed and live programmed multiplayer environment.
We streamed 74+3 Neuromatic Brainwave broadcast live on Youtube every Friday in weekly artistic research experiments online from 2020 - 2021. A professional 32 channel EEG (Electroencephalography) was used not only for monitoring of electrical activity from the scalp and brain of REMOTE CONNECTED players, but to generate in real-time live sound and image from the measured voltage fluctuation — being foremost an EXPERIMENTAL PLAY between the performers and their electronic devices in a weekly newly released audiovisual Neuromatic Online Game (so we produced 77 online EEG Games over lockdown). Full length films of all live BROADCASTS still available on the Neuromatic Brainwave Broadcast channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5bvLYtC4E0
Developed and inspired by the FWF/PEEK project Neuromatic Game Art: Critical Play with Neurointerfaces. AR 581, Die Angewandte Wien.
