It’s all about collaborations! Creating connections, conducting dialogues, exchange and cooperation between artists, organisations, associations and communities are at the forefront of the art and mediation project “Banal Complexities تعقيدات عادية”.

Artists based in Vienna will work together with artists from North Africa to develop interventions that will be presented in public space between March and September 2021. In joint projects, Oscar Cueto & Bassem Yousri, Margareta Klose & Nourhan Maayouf, Lisa Großkopf & Soukaina Joual and Malek Gnaoui & Markus Hiesleitner, stand against geographical distance, cultural differences as well as artistic egocentricity and stimulate the participation of a broad population by means of art actions linked to everyday life.
