A Lunch Lecture by Katja Simma and Liz Zimmermann of studio SIMZIM (Vienna)
Tuesday, 9th of March, 12.30 to 14.00
In real space at Social Design Studio and broadcast on Zoom
In the ongoing (re-)construction of public spaces by different crowds of “city makers” – ranging from city administrations to bottom-up citizens’ groups – landscape architects are often playing a central role by translating wishes and needs of stakeholders into the built environment.
Katja Simma and Liz Zimmermann are landscape architects based in Vienna. In their practice at studio SIMZIM they are not only concerned with city planning, the planning of residential environments or competitions, but also with urban research and teaching assignments in Vienna. As a well established studio, SIMZIM have realized many projects in the public and private realm.

In other words: Katja and Liz make spaces for people, create identity and are the agents for future users. In their lecture, they will talk about landscape architecture, their approaches, about potentials and the diversity of the discipline.
