Steffko - Die Kunst #1 is a long term multimedia project initiated in 2010. With an emphasis on post-virtual performative expression as found in social networks brought into context with personality development, identity and behavioural human tendenies, the project has taken form through a wide range of video, performative and new media work.

Stefanie Koscher is an Austrian born multidisciplinary artist and musician currently based in Vienna. Coming from a performing arts and stage background, she worked in theaters such as The Public NYC, Staatsoper unter den Linden Berlin, Burgtheater Vienna, Bushwick Starr Brooklyn, assisting Andrea Breth, the Nature Theater of Oklahoma, the Elevator Repair Service NYC amongst others.
Next to performing music with bands and solo, as well as occasional DJ gigs, she creates digital and analog multimedia artworks, that concentrate on the performative. Transformatory processes of the human psyche in a post-virtual age have constituted an important focal point in her work. While living in NYC with occasional stays in Berlin from 2009-2013, she started developing a virtual performative persona called Steffko - Die Kunst #1 (short: #SDK1), who is the protagonist of most of her new media pieces.
She also creates analog artwork, such as collages and mixed media works.
She performed and exhibited at Tate Modern London, former PS122 Manhattan (now Performance Space NYC), Museo el Barrio NYC, Bushwick Open Studios Seeking Space, Envoy Art Space Manhattan, Take Festival Vienna, Tanzquartier Vienna and more.
