Stefanie Moshammer: I Can Be Her

Collectors Agenda presents selected pieces of the work series “I Can Be Her” (2014-2018).

“AUSTRIA GIRL”, 2411 Mason Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada—a typewritten letter, 35 lines long, a bizarre declaration of love from a stranger. The letter prompted Moshammer to build the world around this man with photographs. In doing so, she deals with themes such as closeness and strangeness, anxiety and attraction, reality and fiction.

Stefanie Moshammer was the first Austrian artist to receive a complete issue by the German ZEIT Magazin, covering her project.
