Stefan Guggisberg has developed his own unique technique of painting in oil on paper. There are no preliminary concepts or sketches that prefigure a composition, only a feeling for forces and an intuitive processing and anchoring of these in the process of creation.
The artist writes: ?Art can bring together processes in a single space that we are otherwise not capable of perceiving simultaneously. The shapes in my work resonate with biological, spiritual and physical processes, they allow me to confront central questions of life on an elemental level.?
