Ezara Spangl Event
Song Song is pleased to present an exhibition of new paintings by Ezara Spangl. In Amphorae, Spangl exhibits oil paintings on canvas built through a process of applying parameters of form.
Spangl?s approach to painting is made through transferring and layering marks. The paintings are comprised of unique bilaterally symmetrical monoprints in a reductive palette. Repetition and continuousness inform the line which comes in and out of likenesses to vessels, ruffs and vectors. Through changes of density and gradients of color Spangl depicts manifestations of depth of space and horizontal planes on worked grounds.
