As we look back, it?s hard to imagine how others lived that came before us. It?s hard to imagine the difficulties they faced in traveling from one continent to the other, or even in sending a simple message – things that some of us might take for granted today. It?s clear that in the last 100 years, mankind has made more progress than it has in its entire history. So, what do the next 100 years hold for us? How about just the next 10 years? While some technologies are changing the way that we live and work, others are completely revolutionizing our lives.
One such technology that?s set to make earth-shattering changes in the way we live and interact with others is virtual reality. The coming VR-storm, so to speak, will significantly alter the landscape of every industry from the military, to healthcare, entertainment, gaming, education, fashion, and business just to name a few.
Sara will talk about her experiences over the last three years in the VR scene – what she learned as one of the first developers for the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and cardboard. She will give insights in the concept and development process of the experimental art game ?Lucid Trips? which she is developing with her team in Hamburg and Berlin and explain her attempts of bringing together the community to shape the future.

Biography
Creative squirrel, chaos kid & in love with the idea of new worlds, Sara is on a mission to explore what the heck VR is. Especially fascinated by UX & art in VR she is working on the VR game Lucid Trips, teaches VR at Design Factory International Hamburg and guides longtime VR Trips in collaboration with academic researchers as the worlds first VR Shaman. A passionate advocate of sharing & caring Sara is an active member of the international and local VR community. After exploring the early days of VR as part of hamburg based VR Nerds collective Sara is now notworking at VR Base Berlin.
