A struggle for life, freedom and humanity
As told by refugees
This is about a project that started with a feeling. The feeling that we all are humans. No matter if we are black or white, good or bad, Syrians or French. I wanted to step out of my imaginary sanctuary and bring reality to life. To illustrate the reality of refugees. To tell their stories. True stories. Let yourself get dragged into their struggle. It?s also our struggle – for life, freedom and humanity.
French artist Benjamin Jeanjean illustrates stories told to him by refugees and captures the unique experiences in his own, personal style.
His ink drawings are strong and highlight little details that make the journey so special. A black and white art show that literally might go under the skin –
He will release a series of screenprints and all proceeds go towards refugees/projects.
