The historical drama takes place on the court of Philipp II (1559-1598), where numerous political intrigues originate. In 1578, during the night of Easter Monday, Juan de Escobedo is trapped and murdered by a group of contract killers. This tragedy leads to the investigation on several personalities related to the court El Escorial.
