Finissage Flucht nach Vorn | IG Bildende Kunst Event
Finissage
Friday, 29.5., 7pm
As part of the final presentation we are showing our inputs from the workshop ?Lavarot und Wasserwellenblau? initiated and organised by Iris Christine Aue (IG Bildende Kunst) as well as a video documentation of a discussion about the working conditions in the self- organisation. The discussion was initiated and organized by Vasilena Gankovska (IG Bildende Kunst) together with Anna-Teresa Reiter (Flucht nach Vorn) and Marlies Surtmann (Friday Exit).
Another part is an installation which depicts the internal work structure of ?Flucht nach Vorn? created by Cara Luisa Heise (Flucht nach Vorn), Jakob Krebs and Anna-Teresa Reiter (Flucht nach Vorn).
Flucht nach Vorn
?Flucht nach Vorn? is a german saying and it means getting on with a situation the way it is or, also, being as courageous as you possibly can. It?s making something good out of a miserable situation and this is excactly what we want to do! Working with minor refugees and forced migrants, we are offering workshops and certain leisure activities to promote peoples? talents and to give them space in order to find their own kind of inner peace through creative experience. During different activities to do with sports, art, music and performance, new social networks are made that provide young people with a sense of stability and emotional security. With the help of numerous artists, musicians and other supporters we are meaning to create an atmosphere that will make todays society a better place for everyone.
IG Bildende Kunst
As a self-organized representation of interests visual artists have established ?IG Bildende Kunst? in 1956 to actively shape political decision-making processes that have an impact on visual artists and to work towards improving the structural conditions of artistic work. The central area of responsibility is the protection and representation of the cultural-political, social, legal, economic and other professional interests by visual artists and the promotion of (public) interest in the work of visual artists. ?IG Bildende Kunst? is based in Vienna, managed by a team of active artists, runs its own gallery space, publishes the magazine Bildpunkt and offers visual artists advice on questions ranging from social insurance to tax and legal counsel.
