Frauke Dannert - born1979 in Herdecke - studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf and at the Goldsmiths College in London.
Frauke Dannert?s central medium is the collage. In her installations of projects, wall- and ground-works she transfers photographic architectural fragments into a room and, thus, makes them available for experience.
Her work was displayed, among other places, at the MARTa Herford Musem (2013),
the Pori Art Museum Finland(2014) and the art collections of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum (2014).
A solo exhibition was installed at the Märkische Museum Witten (2014). In autumn she will display her work in the course of a room installation and a collage in the Sprengel Museum in Hannover. Solo exhibitions within the Graphic Collection of the Museum Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf and the Kunstmuseum Luzern are in planning. Frauke Dannert was awarded with many scholarships and awards, with to mention a few here: the travel scholarship of the Art Society of the Rhineland and Westphalia in 2010, Düsseldorf; the residential scholarship Schloss Ringberg of Rhineland-Westphalia in 2012; the Audi Art Award 2012 as well as the working scholarship of the ‘Stiftung Kunstfond Bonn’ (2014).
