Feng Yuan Lecture

A brief introduction to the landscape of contemporary chinese painting

FENG Yuan, vice president of the CPC Central Research Institute of Culture and History, vice-chairman of China Federation of Literature and Art Circles, vice-chairman of Chinese Artists Association, honorary dean of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, painter of traditional Chinese painting, and educationist of fine arts.

Born in Shanghai in 1952, he graduated from Class of Postgraduates of Department of Chinese Painting of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in 1980, and was assigned to the same Academy for teaching. He served as director of the Teaching and Research Office of the department, Provost of the Academy, deputy dean, professor, director of Department of Education and Sciences of Ministry of Culture of China, director of Department of Arts of the Ministry, and curator of The National Art Museum of China.
