Signe Ross, Nora Kapfer
Kumul
In 2011, Kapfer and I went to Budapest to do research for a project. There wasn’t really any project yet,
but a professional reason lent a certain seriousness to our touristic activities.
Our cameras were symbols of productivity, our cultural perving material for the text,
and trawling through boutique clothes stores was textile sampling.
We hung out at this nice cafe for several hours one morning discussing critically important things.
There were lots of literary-type males to look at in the spring sunshine. I was wearing these lace stockings
and the sun worked its way through them. That evening I had floral-print burnt into my thighs.
