Ana Nedeljkovic and Tanja Perisic will give art presentations and lectures on Saturday November 24., beginning at 19:00, as a part of regular program of Depot - Kunst und Diskussion, in Vienna.
Presentations and open discussions will be in English language.
Ana Nedeljkovic will present her The Evil Girl project which is conceived as the creation of recognizable female character, and its manipulative use in different media and contexts. The Evil Girl, was made to represent the ultimate creature in an ironic sense. She spreads through the space by reduplicating herself, acting as a kind of virus. The aim of the presentation is to discus Evil Girls strategies of addressing topics such as female representation trough the art history or political problems with borders and isolation.
Tanja Perisic will give a lecture under name Body-Space-System Machine/conflict between organic and cultural rhythms? where she will present her artwork Place of Living, that was recently exhibited in Istanbul, and open discussion on the issue of psychological and emotional relation of our body and controlled environments, like non-spaces. The presentation is based on some recent explorations in a field of sociology of urbanism, with references on the critical contemporary theories and utopias connected with network society.
Ana Nedeljkovic and Tanja Perisic are at the Artist in Residency program by KulturKontakt Austria in Vienna.
Ana Nedeljkovic was born in 1978. She lives and works in Belgrade city, Serbia. Her work is based on cheep materials and cartoon like drawings, presented in a form of installations, drawing performances, public space interventions and artist’s books.

Tanja Perisic was born in 1982\. She lives and works in Zagreb city, Croatia. She participated at the international exhibitions in USA, Germany, Italy and Turkey, and on the residences, student trips and festivals since 2003\. Her site-specific interactive light installations question human perception of reality and the experience of the relationship between body and space.
