From the Street to the Box

I was recently asked to curate a show at the Blue box Cafe/Bar. On such short notice I didnt think it would be fair to ask artists to create specific work for a specific theme. Therefor I came up with the idea to simply try and unite a large group of the Austrian Graffiti and Street Art Scene with a group show.

The Show is Entitled “From the Street to the Box.” Playing with the name of the space but also the idea of the conformity that comes with an exhibition. The artists involved are all work primarily in the street, but on occasion also on canvases, wood, cardboard or other found objects. The works will hang in Blue Box for two months over the Holiday season, so while you are out and about on Mariahilferstrasse stop by for a hot chocolate or Gluh Wein and check out the nice works.

The Opening will be on Nov. 3rd starting at 19 o’clock.
