Stereophonic

For this project the first-year students of the class of painting and animation, under Judith Eisler, at the University of Applied Arts, set out to create a visual playlist.

Each artist chose a song that inspired them and created a piece of art to go with it. There were no set guidelines, just the idea of turning music into painting the individual experience one has when listening to music. The result is a playlist of eight tracks and eight visual works of art: an experiment in how to translate music into painted reality and how our perception of art changes when connected with sound. We invite you to listen, look and perhaps find a connection between the two.
