For her first solo exhibition in Vienna, Leda Bourgogne will show new paintings and a video-installation. Additionally, on the night of the opening she will do a reading of a selection of her texts.
Leda Bourgogne’s practice is informed by a wide range of influences, including feminist theory, psycho-analysis, modernism, experimental film and literature. Her work deals with language, the body and the psychic, while seeking to problematize power relations, desire-structures, societal norms and the construction of identity.
