Opening next month, Oscar Bronner’s solo exhibition Figura Serpentinata takes the art historical motif describing spiralling groups of figures as the impetus for a series of new cast aluminium sculptures. The sculptures’ geometric abstract forms recall at once fragments of DNA, bionic simulation, letter forms, growth and chaos, the swirl of galaxies, with mottled surfaces reminiscent of the finger painting of his earlier canvas works.
