Sofia Duchovny (b. 1988 Moscow, Russia) currentlylives and works in Berlin. She works across media, with a focus on sculpture and installation. Her practice explores the effects of boundaries through methods of revealing and concealing, withdrawal and transparency. She uses the invisible as material; absences and layers point to what eludes perception. Her work has been exhibited at, among others, n.b.k. Berlin, Kunsthalle Mannheim, Halle für Kunst Lüneburg, Galeria Municipal do Porto, Kunsthalle Aarhus, and Kunstverein Göttingen.
Muyeong Kim (b. 1995 Busan, South Korea) currently lives and works in Paris, with Seoul as the primary base. Kim looks into the affinities of contradictory desires by repeatedly employing staging, camera, and wall installations. He is particularly interested in the workings and makings of a stage, most recently turning to the violent ruptures between aestheticized victimhood and willed passivity. His recent work has been shown at: Petrine (Paris, France), N/A (South Korea), Leeum Museum of Art (South Korea), Frieze No.9 Cork Street (London, UK,), Amado Art Space (South Korea).
Xtina Vargas (b. 1997 Boca Raton, Florida) currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NYC. She creates light boxes to collage drawings and images she finds together into various compositions. She is interested in contemporary media industries, identity constructions, constructed histories via image making, and glamour. She attended The Cooper Union and Stadelschule. Her recent work was shown at Lomex (NYC), Neue Alte Brücke (Frankfurt, Germany), San Jasito South Campus Gallery (Houston, Texas).
Julia Znoj (b. ) currently lives and works in Vienna. She holds a BFA from Zurich University of the Arts and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, where she studied in Heimo Zobernig’s class for textual sculpture. She previously co-ran the exhibition space Gärtnergasse in Vienna.
Her recent work was shown at KRONE COURONNE, (Biel) ; at WAF Galerie (Vienna) ; Vienna Contemporary (Vienna), Sharp Projects (Copenhagen); Kunstraum Schwaz; and Unanimous Consent (Zurich).Her work was also featured at the Swiss Art Awards (Basel) ; Heiligen Kreuzerhof (Vienna), Louis Reed (NYC) and the Swiss Institute (NYC).
