Bastards (Neverland)

Julian-Jakob Kneer

Opening:
2. February 18:00 - 21:00

Shore is pleased to announce BASTARDS (NEVERLAND), the second solo exhibition by Julian-Jakob Kneer at the gallery.

Kneer will premier a new series of wall works alongside a site-specific installation, drawing on themes established throughout his practice. Sifting through pop-culture, fandom, mores and morality, Kneer digs up the foundation of supposed socio-cultural binaries such as “right/wrong”, “beautiful/ugly”, “sick/healthy“, breaks them down into their constituent parts, and then releases them for recasting in a value-free space.
This marks the first chapter of BASTARDS.
Upcoming presentations within this new body of work include to be shown in Berlin, Milan and Zurich.

Julian-Jakob Kneer (b. 1992, Basel, CH) lives and works in Berlin.
