WORKSHOP Void Sounds: Making Music with Feedback Processes
Acoustic Feedback in music is a complex phenomena, that yields rich possibilities for sonic explorations for artists. Inside this workshop different approaches to working with feedback in music and sonic art will be explored as well as connections to the fields of ecology, chaos theory & cybernetic systems, as well as the phenomenon of self-emergence.

WORKSHOP Tidal Cycles
The workshop will be an introduction to Tidal Cycles; a live-coding framework for spontaneous creation and composition of electronic music. Tidal Cycles is connected to the Algorave Scene a global movement that use code as an interface for music making. Tidal Cycles makes it easy to engage with algorithms in a playful way to create electronic music in real-time, through its simplified dialect that focussed on the creation of musical patterns.
Inside the workshop participants will be guided through the installation process of software and learn the first steps to get started to make music with Tidal Cycles. No Programming or Coding Skills required!

Moritz Morast: Tide

Moritz Morast (1991) is a musician and artist from Vienna. He studied
Interface Cultures at the University of Art Linz. In his works he explores musical systems through improvisational immediacy and playful spontanity, unraveling their idiosyncrasies and self-organizing properties, organizing raw sounds into a fluid form of motion.
