JG Danso (she/her) is a Black, queer poet. As a poet and intersectional equalities advisor, her multidisciplinary approach to writing connects queer joy to the push for intersectionality and equality in all spaces. JG is resident poet of the Vienna queer community cafe, Villa Vida; Chair of the intersectional queer storytelling association hint.wien; and board member of the Schwarze Frauen Community (Black Women’s Community). Born in London, she has lived in Vienna since 2016. Find her on Instagram @jgdanso.

Beobachten, Nachahmen, Wiederaufgreifen des Vergessenen, Erinnern. Das Programm Learning by Heart stellt eine Reihe von Filmen vor, die sich mit den verborgenen Facetten des Lernens, Lehrens und den dadurch entstehenden generationsübergreifenden Beziehungen befassen. Das Programm zeigt abstrakte und intime Bilder von Erfahrungen, die in individuelle Sprachen der Empathie, der Erinnerung und des Widerstands übersetzt werden. Es ist ein Kompliment an die Leichtigkeit, mit der wir einst lernten, an die Freude, die wir empfanden und an unsere Sehnsucht nach Wissen.

Das Programm wurde kuratiert von Florian Boschek, Khadisha Dabayeva, Pierina Erazo, Leander Gussmann, Lu Han, Ronja Janu, Felix Maier, Laura Oyuela, Adam Salomvari, Paul Schmidt, Moritz Wildburger und Yana Zhelyazkova. Es entstand im Kontext des Seminars Learning by Heart an der Universität für angewandte Kunst in Wien.
