MOPCUT will present their second Album ”JITTER” (a cooperation between the Viennese Label Ventil-Records and British Opal Tapes). The concert will happen at the studiospace of the infamous dance-company ‘liquid-loft’ as part of their living-room event series. The night will be opened by a live performance of Victoria Shen (evicshen) from San Francisco.
MOPCUT will be accompanied by advanced laser projections controlled by the-one-and-only BR Laser. Together they will create an holistic scenario full of noise, electronic beats and flickering lights. Improvisation at its very best.
Evicshen is an experimental music performer, sound artist, and instrument-maker based in San Francisco. Shen’s work features analog modular synthesizers (Flower Electronics), amplified objects, and other self-built electronics. The resulting music eschews conventions in harmony and rhythm in favor of extreme textures and gestural tones.
