The topic of the 2021 Rundgang show of the Department of Art and Photography is the year 2007. There are many reasons to single out 2007 - the year of the iPhone for example. More generally though the idea is that perhaps through looking at our memories and conceptions of the year we can arrive at more general thoughts about people’s sense of history have changed in the 21st century.

Only 14 years separate us from the year 2007. And yet for most people the year seems shrouded in the deep past. Too recent to be part of the present, it occupies a place in what Dan Graham called „the just passed“ - an interesting limbo of raw information for people who want to look at the past but avoid historical cliches.
